Our history
Published in 1972, The Limits to Growth (commissioned by the Club of Rome) shocked the world by demonstrating that population growth and industrial capacity were pushing humanity towards the overexploitation of our limited natural resources, thus leading to resource depletion, increased pollution and climate change.
The planet is overcrowded and a clean energy transformation is needed which requires a rapid change in the world energy system from fossil fuels to renewable energy and a sustainable use of natural resources. The collapse of the old energy system opens up opportunities to build a new one.
Renewable energies: sunlight, wind, waves, geothermal energy and above all biomass (from certified sustainable sources).
In 1998, a young mechanical engineer specializing in Renewable Energy at the University of Padua, began his career in the biomass sector, already aware of the changes and challenges that the world energy sector is called to face.
After 16 years of experience combined with research, innovation, production and marketing of equipment for the biomass sector, the opportunity for a job as an independent consultant arrived.
Palmaco engineering & consulting was founded in 2014 (first as a sole entrepreneur and then as a limited partnership), founded by that engineer with the aim of developing new biorefining technologies for the efficient use of biomass as a biofuel and as a source of biochemicals.
“Success is not final and failure is not fatal. It is the combination of experience and new learning that inspires our lives ”.
